How TrackFund handles your data

Effective date: June 24, 2026

Overview

TrackFund is a personal finance app for tracking expenses, income, accounts, budgets, recurring movements, receipt details, and shared group expenses. We collect only the information needed to provide those features, keep your account secure, sync your data across devices, and support the service.

Information you provide

  • Account details such as your name, email address, authentication provider, and profile settings.
  • Financial records you enter, including expenses, income, transfers, accounts, categories, tags, budgets, and recurring movements.
  • Shared group data such as group names, members, invitations, balances, settlements, and group expenses.
  • Receipt images or photo-library content you choose to upload for receipt capture.
  • Support messages or other information you send when contacting us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information needed for authentication, sync, troubleshooting, and push-notification delivery.
  • Operational logs and diagnostics used to maintain reliability and investigate errors.
  • Usage events related to app features so we can improve navigation, reliability, and support workflows.

Permissions

TrackFund asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to scan or attach receipt images. TrackFund asks for notification access to send reminders, invitations, and finance activity updates. TrackFund uses Siri and Apple Shortcuts support so you can capture expenses faster through voice or automation.

How we use information

  • Provide account, expense, budget, group, recurring, receipt, and analytics features.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorized access.
  • Sync data across the mobile app, web app, and supported integrations.
  • Send requested notifications and operational messages.
  • Debug, secure, maintain, and improve TrackFund.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to run the service, such as with infrastructure, authentication, notification, analytics, and payment providers, or when required by law. In shared groups, the data you add to a group is visible to other members of that group.

Data retention and account deletion

You can close your account from the app profile area. Account closure deletes personal-only finance data associated with your account. Shared group history may be preserved for other group members, but your identity is anonymized as a deleted user. You can also request help with account deletion through the support page.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect TrackFund data, including authenticated API access and encrypted network transport. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

TrackFund is not directed to children. Do not use TrackFund if you are not old enough to manage an online account in your region.

Changes

We may update this policy as TrackFund changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
